Georgia Broker Prelicensing - 1st Edition
Georgia Broker Prelicensing is a 60-hour coursebook for licensed salespersons who are qualifying for a Georgia real estate broker license. It is designed for the Brokers Prelicense Course required by the Georgia Real Estate Commission, which every applicant must complete after holding an active license for at least three of the preceding five years.
The text prepares candidates to pass the state broker licensing examination and to take on the expanded legal, financial, and supervisory responsibilities a broker's license carries. Its nineteen chapters are organized into four sections that build broker-level capability progressively: Georgia regulation and legal foundations, residential transaction practice, finance, closings, and management, and brokerage operations. Throughout, national real estate principles are paired with the Georgia License Law, Commission rules, and BRRETA provisions that control practice in this state. The text also reflects recent Georgia and national changes, including the Broker CE requirement for renewals after July 1, 2025, the Safe at Home Act, the HB 581 and HOME Act property tax changes, the 2024 buyer agreement and compensation changes, and the 2025 and 2026 Code of Ethics amendments.
